I Ride: 1199S
Agree with SoonerNation. A plain standard allen key applied from under the exhaust will go through holes cut in the heat shield precisely for the purpose of installing the pegs. Job done in 5 minutes. And easy to remove again for track or mono use.

My intended pillion weighs around 100lb.

I'm contemplating chopping the arms of the pillion pegs off which bolt between the heat-shield and the chassis member and just bolting through the remaining arms which are more easily accessible, allowing for much quicker addition/removal of the pillion pegs. Do you think that the pillion pegs would still be strong enough?

Cheers

I Ride: way too fast to worry about my cholesterol.
Just be thankful you're not running a Termi full system and then thinking of putting the passenger foot pegs on... Whole different ball game.
