I wish I liked the motoscience even half as much as the Rizomas, but I don't so I'm stuck with either doing the Rizoma install or staying stock. Maybe I'll just caulk between the housing and the mirror and hope that stops the stockers from vibrating.
Thanks from Gunny Fitz

hmm caulk the stock ones interesting thought. lol when i was at the stealership the head of service was looking at my bike. i was like whats with the rizoma mirrors why not plug and play. he was like they are always like that we have to solder wires together. that was enough for me. he was also mad at all of the work i had done to my bike and they didnt get one nickle from me. i was like i took my time all winter. I wanted to say if you gave me a little break i would buy the stuff from you if you lowered your prices and labor rate. this guy gets 120 an hour. most expensive in the tri state area. so he got no sale on parts and no sale on install. too bad.

Good find, Mark. Do you have the mirrors handy? Do those look like what you need to mate them to the stock Ducati wiring connectors? I don't have mine yet so can't compare the pics.

yes exactly what is needed however still more work to be done. the mirror wires are just that wires. you have to add the male metal pieces that attach to the female pieces of the adaptors and then plug in to the stock. eeo79h is for the 1199 by the way. if you call pj page knows what she is talking about. the third part is the resistors.
Thanks from Capt CF

WAIT !!!!

These are for the indicators ONLY and they will NOT work with the Mirrors, they have physically different connectors. You *have* to snip, solder and crimp the cables from the stock mirror exit point (to reuse the existing adaptors).

Don't let the non marked cables confuse you, once the wires are stripped you can simply test the mirror connections, getting it wrong will not damage the electrics.

Remember you only have to strip the cowling down if you don't want the quick release connectors visible.

I know it is hassle to fit the mirrors, however in my opinion it is worth it.

I really wish you had taken pics of the whole install.

Thanks, Cali. So the difference between stripped down cowling vs. not stripped down would be: stripped down = black wire showing, not stripped down = black wire plus QR connector showing.

Correct?
