What BS Did YOUR Sales Rep Tell You?

Sometimes the BS gets deeper and deeper and I cannot get over what some of these unethical and uneducated sales reps tell potential Ducati customers! Heard these two stories which came out of a dealership local to the Washington DC / Virginia Metro area. This is what I heard with my own ears from two guys . One bought into it and bought the bike, the smart guy walked out and knew he was being played as a fool. Pisses me the eff off!!

1) Met a guy with a new base/standard Friday who said his sales guy told him that he can adjust his suspension electronically, AND that the bike is limited to 145hp during the first 621 miles? After that it kicks into 195hp.

2) Then met another guy who was offered a base model for 24k (yes, a base model) AND was not even allowed to sit on it unless he filled out a credit app first. That it was a liability issue and that they needed it before he could sit on the bike. How the eff do you try to sell a bike without even allowing the customer to even SIT on it , let alone use the demo model for a test ride!

Common denominator is that it is the SAME DEALERSHIP for both of these stupid ass stories! I can totally believe it as I myself have first hand knowledge. WTF Over???

I Ride: 2016 Aprilia Factory Tuono
Very true that dealerships do hire some idiots to regurgitate bad informations.
But sometimes it takes a good shopper too. Most of us know what it is that we are shopping for. There are some squids out there...

Good thing Redline has good employees!

from what I hear in stuart FL , you dont get full power till after the dealer turns the service light off.

Biggest crock of shit ever man!
Initially, Ducati wanted to do this type of thing and they didnt. Good thing too!
If this was the case thos pro racing types who race these right away wold never be getting full performance and only 145hp. This is not accurate!

Thankfully my salesperson was knowledgeable and really knew his stuff. I already fully educated myself about the bike though before I walked in the dealership.

Huh. My salesman told me that women of all ages and all walks of life would constantly be asking me for rides and want to have sex with me.

Thank goodness none of it was true. I'd wouldn't ever have the time or energy to actually ride the bike.
