MWR High Eff. or Race Filter 1199 need-to-know

Is the 1199 standard have a different air box than the 1199S/Tricolore? Here is the reason why I ask:

I wanted to buy a MWR race filter full kit for my 1199 standard model. But after reading carefully - I have found the below on their website. I emailed them, no answer yet. Help?

"DUCATI 1199 PANIGALE
The MWR high efficient airfilter for the 1199 Panigale is developed with our own aluminium filtersupport. Therefor are all parts of this filter also seperate available and to order. How to mount the airfilter on to the airfilter support you can check our facebook .To do so we could develope the succesfull high efficient airfilter for the 1199 aswell , more then that , we could develope a full racefilter for the absolute max. performance . Caution: Due to the more open structure of the racefilter cleaning & pre-oiling afther every two raceweekends. The protection is at the same level as for the road bikes but for a shorter time. There are five part.nr. available for the 1199 .
1) MC-020-12HE : includes the MWR High Efficient airfilter
2) MC-020-12R :includes the MWR Racing airfilter (for race use only)
3) MC-021-12 : includes the MWR airfilter holder
4) MC-022-12HE :includes the complete MWR kit (airfilter & airfiltersupport)
5) MC-022-12R :includes the complete MWR racingkit (airfilter&airfiltersupport)
(for race use only)
The MC-020-12HE & MC-020-12R can not be installed without the airfilterholder MC-021-12
Also the std. 1199 can not be installed with the MWR airfiltersupport MC-021-12.
Clean and pre-oil the filter at least once a year.Only clean & pre-oil the filter with MWR airfilteroil and cleaner"

Just grab the BMC race filter, that's guaranteed to work. Less expensive too...

The BMC unit is just a filter, the MWR race filter and assembly changes your 1199 air box into a pressurized plenum. Big difference in the way the air enters the motor with less turbulence.

I understand, but are you racing your bike? My thoughts would be if not with a full system and dyno tuned it's money wasted. If you still want it, I hope someone can help you. Everything is ethereal since parts are slowly coming out. Does seem strange that it states it wont work on a base model.

I researched the 1199std., 1199S, and 1199 Tri in the parts OEM books and all of the part numbers are the same. I emailed the company and now have it resolved. The parts are all the same.

I Ride: 1199s Tricolore
Keep in mind that the race-filter needs way more maintenance (cleaning and oiling weekly as you can read on their facebook) compared to the HE-filter.
For daily use, you better pick the HE, if you dont mind cleaning weekly, definitely take the race-filter.

I Ride: gsx-r 600 k8 (2008) Gsx-r 1000 k-10 (2011) ordered Panigale
you do not have to clean it weekly. i have the MWR in my panigale.
if you buy the streetversion you have to clean it once a year. and the MWR is nice!

better response and pick up. higher rpm's i still have to check out.
