I just put on the Pirelli super bike slicks SC2 compound front and rear.
The front is perfect, grip wise and size wise.
The rear is a 200/60 size tire and the grip is great, but the circumference of the tire is about 82 inches roll out and the SP tire that comes stock is only about 80 inches. So the gear ratio changed dramatically and not in a good way, it was too tall and needs about 1 to 2 teeth larger sprocket on the rear to keep the rpms it he same as stock.
Just my two cents
Oh ya, I ride an R so it already has the 41 tooth sprocket on it.
Looks like Dunlop might be the way to go.
Or maybe an SC2 Dot instead.

I Ride: V4S and Ninja 400. Dichotomy.
I ran the Bridgestone slicks all year, 190/650 rear 125/600 front. I found they worked acceptably with DTC on level 1, whereas the previous Bridgestone 190/645 rear did not work so well.

Dunlops from Dunlop directly. . . good tires, but I would look at the SC2 slicks as those are excellent..

I'm running Pirelli SC2 front and rear. The rear is a 200/60. I'm running a 41 sprocket in the rear.

TC works fine, fantastic grip from the tires.

Superbike or Superbike PROs?

Are they worth 20% more than the Dunlops? I would like to get more than 20 laps out of the slicks as well, which I hear is what the Pirellis provide.

I wouldn't piss on the Pro's . Get the Diablo Superbike slick . Been using SC2 rear and SC0 on hotter days .
Usually use a SC1 on the front .

Think a rookie like myself would be alright with SC2 front and rear? Or SC1 front?

I bought a track bike that came with bridgestone slicks, I'm not sure whether it was the tire being different size then a 200or not having the suspension dialed in, but the front end and the rear end were extremely twitchy that left me pretty slow
