Melted Fairings

I noticed that the fairing right next to the exhaust has started to melt. I just moved and the dealer I bought it from is 350 miles away. Can I bring it to any dealership or do I have to bring it back to mine? Is it a free fix?

Any dealer and it should be a free fix. I just had mine done under warranty a couple weeks ago. The way mine was when I took delivery the lower right fairing was actually touching the spring mount on the pipe. With the fix there is a nice gap between the two now so I am hoping that's enough to keep it from melting again.
Thanks from N3RB

Just got my white lower fairing replaced. Mine was due to the termi being larger diameter.

I just went out and bought some muffler repair tape that looks like alloy foil, cut a piece out that fit in that area and its now ready to go.

Adding a fiber washer glued to the fairing where it meets the rubber snubber by your footpegs will also give you the clearance you need.

As stated above, its a warranty item and ducati doesn't fight it at all. You should be able to take a picture and send it to the dealer so they can get the part ordered.

They let me drive the fairing piece down in my car, and swapped it out for the replacement part. I installed it myself.
