Clutch Cover Bolts - Aftermarket?

Hey all,

so I'm just replacing my Ducabike clutch cover and noticed my clutch cover bolts are pitted and look terrible.

Do any of you know any brands that make this bolt? See photo: I'm looking for the shorter one.

You'll notice there are two different sizes. Since I have an R, it came with the Ducati Performance clutch cover, so four of the bolts were longer to compensate for the carbon fiber covers mount points. When I went to put on the Ducabike cover, those four bolts were too long so I added some washers and they give the area a sloppy look.

Have any other R owners put a Ducabike cover on your bike??

Measure the bolts with a metric caliper or ruler, or compare against the chart below.

Then head over to Titanium bolts nuts and washers and order up replacements. Use a little oil or anti-seize on 'em (do not use threadlocker on Ti) when you wrench 'em back on.

white - just use the measurements for the shorter bolts since the short ones work because you dont have the cf clutch cover.

There's no reason not to, but you should use the correct Loctite.

I could explain it or just show a picture...

On inactive metals regular Loctite will never fully cure.

Anti-seize grease keeps oxidation from forming between dissimilar metals. Loctite would do the same.

Loctite 243 is what you want.

Thanks for your explanation.

I have it
But can I use Loctite with another number? E.g. 223.

You'd have to look it up and see if it is one of the new primerless versions.
