I just recently invested in my Ducabike rearsets and feeling a little bit worried now. Only had them on for 1month and all this talk about failing bolts is something i don't want to happen. Biggest issue i have, i must of tightened something to tight on them and its soooo hard to shift gears up or down very very tight and stiff. Have i tighten'ed the leaver to much you guys think? FYI took forever to get them on and to adjust is a little bugger!

No, its the design. I moved to the SKF Heim joints and lubed the heck out of the the entire assembly.

The unfortunate fact is that the design without bearings makes this product absolutely unusable after only a few thousand miles.

The support I got was stellar however, and after 2 broken pivot bolts and all the money I spent on the original parts, the upgraded heim joints, shipping and being stuck in 4th gear in the middle of nowhere Colorado last summer, not heeding Anti-Hero's advice etc. I made the jump over to the CNC Racing LE version.

They are the answer! I had Attack Racing full ball bearing versions on my 848 and they were butter just like the CNC racing rear sets.

It is a dreadful fact those rear sets are just not gonna last you very long, nor provide the shifting quality. Get rid of them and buy a set with bearings. After $1600+ I finally have what is required. Hard lesson learned.

CNC and the DP ones look nice - can any of you confirm whether either of those have a position a little lower and more forward than stock or are they all higher and further back?

Not sure about the CNC ones but the DP lower setting is higher than stock and the DP comes with a spacer to adjust front and back like the SATO's. Im not sure with DP if you could get different size spacer but I know you can purchase the Satos spacers and use it with the DP rearsets.

I am sick to my stomach after reading this thread. I just ordered a set of DucaBike rear sets from Bellisimoto. Lane told me, he works there, that they were good rear sets. I told him I race and broke 2 sets of Gilles in Daytona. He said these were tough. Now, I'm reading about poor reliability, poor shifting, parts falling off, poor fitment (rub the swingarm), etc. He just shipped them today. This really upsets me because the thought of throwing my hard earned money away makes me sick. The CNC rear sets were out of stock. The current Woodcraft rear sets don't fit a 1299 on the shift side. The rear brake side fits. I am sick over this!

Do we know for a fact the woodcrafts don't fit? Does the GP woodcraft work? Does woodcraft have an answer to this?

I have woodcraft rear sets on my 13 base... what about them doesn't fit/ work? is this an r only thing?

I've had them on mine for 2500 miles with zero issues.. (running GP shift )

I have Woodcraft rearsets on my R. We had to use washers to get them to fit--once we did that they were fine.

I've got about 2000 miles with them--only problems so far was that the shift toe-peg vibrated off--easily replaced. And at one point the great shift linkage was sticking--but lubing it took care of that.

They aren't as beautiful and elegant as many of the other rearsets, but they are tough with very grippy foot-pegs-- and cheap and easy to repair and get parts for--and very reasonably priced.

Yea, just send them back. The extra hassle of waiting for the right kit will outweigh the repeated problems.

The CNC Racing rearsets are a bit higher than the lowest position of the Ducabike versions. Not too bad, but that is one other thing I really liked about their model.

I kept the pegs as well and recycled the rest.
