RearSet Opinions?

I just bought a 2014 1199 Panigale S and I'm stoked to finally have it. I happen to be almost 7 feet tall and I need to get a set of adjustables so I can improve my position ever so slightly. I'd like to go with a black set to stay with the flat black theme on the bike. Money isn't an option if it's something really cool/functional so please let me know what your first choice would be.

Thanks in advance.

Cory

Gilles are a good value. Had them on 2 bikes, good fit, parts available and good service from Shift-Tech
Thanks from Phl

Thanks. I was looking at the Rizoma, and a couple others. I'll check those out as well. Really comes down to which riding position is best for my big ass.

Thanks again

If you are going GP shift, Rizoma will work with quickshifter but are not very adjustable => just 2 up/down and 2 forward/back positions. Reasonably priced as well.

Can anyone else confirm rearsets that ill work with GP quickshifter?

Lightech R look real fancy if you don't need GP shifting. Pricey
DP reasets = Even more pricey.

I was going to suggest what I used, but then I saw your "money isn't an option" (I assume it is "isn't an object") so I'd better not

I have woodcraft. Great price. Fucking PITA to change peg position on. I would love to find something not stratospherically priced, that was easier to adjust.

In woodcraft's defense, the price is good and they crash well.

Avoid Gilles. Terrible design. The first set I had seized up on me, ruined a track day and caused all kinds of issues that come from not being able to shift. The new / redesigned parts are better, but it's still sloppy.

Ducabike rearsets have been a little better, but it's still a shit design that won't last. Even the $100 rearsets on eBay are better. Neither Ducabike nor Gilles seemed to have test fit and rode their rearsets, as both had problems with bolts and nuts contacting the swingarm.

My next rearsets will be DP. I've always thought you get stuck paying a premium for the name, but in this case I've spent more than I would have if I'd just bought Ducati Performance parts and still don't have anything close to as high a quality product.

Never used Lightech's rearsets, but the amount of play in their brake/clutch levers isn't exactly confidence inspiring. If they can't get a brake and clutch lever to work as good as the stock ones I can't say I trust 'em to design rearsets.
Thanks from Phl, BigBoost, Gecko and 1 others
