Removing Termignoni slip ons

Hi all

I am looking to remove a set of Termignoni slip ons and replace with the original oem exhaust system. My only concern is the engine map which has been upgraded for the slip ons. Will the on board computer recognise the oem exhaust or will I need to reload a stock engine map.

Cheers fellas

You need to reinsert the USB stick that was originally used on the bike. It will give the option to flip back to the stock map.

Why are you removing the Termis? Are planning to buy or swop for my CW slip ons?

No big deal, just reload the original program from the supplied USB stick. I am not sure if you will need the dealer-supplied updates installed through their computers to bring you up up to date. Why are you removing them?

All you need to do is to disconnect the battery for a while and reconnect it. The ECU will go into the stock mode by default.

The bike always holds all the maps, so in any case they are all updated, when the dealer does his update thing.

All the key does is hold a code that allows them to switch over.

Seriously?

You mean the bike can drop out of "Racing" or "Evo Racing" mode, by unplugging the battery?

That would be seriously dumb.

It seems you have the first part answered, however your 'key' is still tied to your ECU, so if you are planning on selling the exhaust with the key, you will have to have the key reset to allow it to be used on another bike. Otherwise, the person who buys the Termis will need to either use an aftermarket device to remap their ECU or take it to someone to have it tuned.

To be safe I'd take it to a dealer. It takes them a few seconds to load the map.

I know someone that might be interested in the Termi's if you haven't already sold them.
