Alternative way for installing front direction indicator

I couldn't find a nice and pratical front indicator mounting, so I decided to mill two different prototypes for testing. a straight version for the Tri and a crooked one for the SL. The crooked one has the better geometry.

The benefit for this kind of mount is it's very clean and mostly hidden, doesn't need any modifications on the bike, and one does not have to hassle with the indicators when go to track or remove the fairings. They can be folded inwards.

what would be really cool (for me) is to have the backside of the bar end mirror have an LED nested into it -- the oberen bar ends extend the bars too much for lane splitting, etc. perhaps even the stalk of the bar-end mirror could be an LED...

Looks good, might want to patent this before someone steals the design.

Is this just for you or do you have plans to make a few more for the folks here...

See where I am going with this?

Looks fantastic! A set of black Rizoma LED lights instead, so that they disappear more. Perfect!

Do let us know if you can make the brackets for those of us that would like to do the same.

Looks good! If it's nice and bright, I'd be interested in picking up a pair.

As stated these are prototypes for a proof of concept. V1 has now 4500km on it, V2 1600km. I wanted to make sure that I wont have vibration problems.

Brightness depends on the indicators installed. As long as they have an M8 thread, no problems. Personally I like Rizoma. Very bright and I never had any problems on any bike with them. And they make a variety of colors and designs.
All versions are homolgated (important in stupid Switzerland). Rizoma also provides adaptor cables for Ducati bikes. So no splicing is required, just plug'n'play.

My milling machine (Mikron F75) is from 1930, and the lathe (Mikron T90) from 1950. So mass production wouldn't make much sense.

If some would like this solution I could let these pieces be produced with CNC machines. Design could be then some additional gramms lighter and more 3d fancy. It's a matter of number of ordered pieces. Of course completely non-profit as all my projects.

Using polished A4 stainless steel screws instead of titanium would make it considerably cheaper.

Actually I would prefer this as well, but it was too expensive to manufacture the transparent plastics housing for the leds. The wiring is also a bit tricky because it has to go thru the mirrors mounting screw. But these problems are all solved already.

The great thing is the OEM bars already have a thread. That makes the design of such a solution much easier.
