do you have stock rear-sets?

i have had it happen to me afew times at the drags, i talk to my ducati dude about it, and he mention it may have something to do with the weight of the rizoma rearset and needing to give it more pressure on the up shifts

that has happened to him on a few occasions. scared the sh!t out of me as well. i chalked it up to me doing a sloppy shift (not enough pressure). i HOPE that's all it is

The second one, did it come out of 5th and go back to 4th?

I literally had this problem last weekend. Went to shift to 5th and it went to neutral somehow it seemed and banged the limiter. Tried again and heard the loudest pop my bike has ever made going into 5th.

I have had this problem before, but I only street ride so I'd say I am not loading the gears like you are on track lol. I assumed I didn't pull up hard enough.

In for ideas.

well you can see on a video im not sure if it dropped down or not but it felt like it went to neutral and of course debalance the bike so during next corner i was catching my hart. for sure i was kicking the gear all the way.

Yeap i can flip to GP style so maybe ill try it on a next track day.

I just hope so that transmission is ok and that thats not a problem

Me too, I felt I was soft on the upshift every time it did it, I now have GP shift, have not ridden the bike yet so hopefully won't have this issue again, it is scary when the revs go through the roof!!!

had the same problem, i would try to kick up the gears with DQS on, once in a while, it would miss and rev up.

had the serviced at the dealer, replaced new gear sensor, never had an issue since.

I get the same problem as well every now and then on the track. Looks like it goes into neutral or something, I have a new gear sensor and it still does it.

I thought it was me not shifting the gears hard enough.
