Question for R owners on 6-7500rpm vibration feel

I know these things are hard to describe as its a personal feel, but my r almost feels "shitty" in the 6-7k range. I know this isn't the sweet spot or where the bike is happy but mine seems "buzzy" through the bars and almost a vibration feel.It seems to come out of it at higher revs but i dont remember my base Pani feelin like that. It's somethin that can be just a characterisitc but I've been bouncin back and forth riding from the Diavel and the R, so it may not seem noticeable to those riding the R everyday, but just wanted to see if anyone else was getting a similar feel. Finding it a bit weird..but??

The noise emission tests are around 5000rpm, so between 6-7000rpm, it should actually be pretty sweet.

Check (or have your dealer check) for loose bolts - air-box, head stock, faring nose cone (I had the main LHS bolt hanging out), as it could be resonance in that particular rpm range.

I just had the R lightweight flywheel installed on my S this weekend. It put my right hand to sleep on the highway on the way home from the dealer. That's never happened before (nearly 2000 miles). So, at least in my case, I suspect the low inertia flywheel is less effective at dampening high frequency vibrations. I also feel more clutch feedback in my clutch lever especially when I pop it in neutral. Nothing alarming considering the modification. It is just a change in feel.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll have my tech take it for a spin and see what he thinks as well.

Have you had the updated map loaded for your "R" yet (unless it is a US only update)?
