1299S or R?

First question that popped into my head when I saw the lineup. I know one of these will end up on my late xmas list, but if you're a road and track rider which one would you choose? Aaand go:

Dedicated racer, 1199R. Track/Street split, 1299S or Base.

I Ride: V4S and Ninja 400. Dichotomy.
The R is going to be NUTS, basically a SuperLeggera without the very expensive carbon stuff on it, but very close on the engine. Homologation bike for World SBK next year. It's going to be more bike than most people can really use, most will probably be faster around the track on the 1299 with more torque at lower RPM's, it will take a top-level rider to extract performance from the R. Not that you shouldn't have it if you want it of course!

Kind-of what I'm wondering too...track only for me-

Did the mid-range get addressed on the new R?

Haven't had a chance to watch the whole thing yet....

My 899 purchase in December just got axed. Putting a deposit down on the new R, race my current bike next year and sell it at the end of the year and get the 899 then. Jarel, what suspension will the R have, standard Ohlins?

Yes, conventional Ohlins with no electronics so it's race-legal in every series.

R sounds perfect...but looks like torque dip still there?

Oh...was that Steve Jobs up there?

Just so I correct, no clutchless up/down shifter on the R?
