charcoal filter. Do I plug one line? or vent them both.

so I read the how to in the how to section, and it says to plug one line and vent the other. That's what I did but it seems like it ran kind of choppy so I vented them both. I'm hearing different stories from different people. And wondering what the actual way I am supposed to do it is. Still seems to be running a little a little hesitant. I love this bike but hate how it is almost impossible to hold a constant Speed on the interstate.

I'd be very surprised to learn that the vent lines clean up the surging you might be experiencing - removing the charcoal canister is not related to this issue at all (at least from my exp)....I have not heard yet of anything that clears it up, so I simply ride around it, mostly slightly faster than needed keeps the speed ahead of traffic

Setting EBC to 3 (least intrusive) will help a little, but it does not eliminate it

I have always wondered if a power commander would solve it, but I get too much "static" from my shop on running a power commander on the duc, and just the thought of sucking more fuel than I really need too keeps me honest
