Recall????

Has anyone gotten a notice about a clutch rod or slave cylinder noise on the 1199 ??? Ducati said it came up on their Ducati bulletin and that other customers has been hearing noises when clutch is trying to engage. That's what they told me. I never had an issue with it but since they had the bike for service, they wanted to do switch them out. They've had it now for about two weeks waiting on parts. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this.

With me, the bike had trouble going into Neutral. They replaced the slave cylinder that time. Now I'm told they'll be doing the same in addition to a recall affecting clutch play. I don't know the extent of the recall , but will let you know when I find out.

clutch piston or something like that. I'll take a look at my invoice. There was a bulletin. My bike worked fine but they upgraded anyways. Works good as ever

My Duc tech tells me its only VIN specific 1199's mine is a 2012, and it is unaffected.

here it is :

TSB 15-001

Perform TSB 15-001 per ducati guidelines. Replace clutch slave piston anit-rotation insert.

They basically replaced the slave cylinder and that was it.....

Ducati had issue with customers not being able shift gears properly or hear a loud pop when shifting gears. Even though mine didn't have a problem, they wanted to do it anyways.

Hope this helps..
