Dumb question... Does this cover out of factory warranty bikes as well?

Recalls are normally instituted through NHSTA and have nothing to do with warranty (or lack of). Safety doesn't depend on your warranty.

How did you hear about this Stw?
Did you receive notice in mail or something?

Damn that reminds me I've moved twice since I bought this beast and have no clue where to change my address with Ducati! Ugh.

Also, that's definitely not a dumb question about out of warranty bikes either! I'd truly like to know myself so am gonna call my good friend who owns the dealership I get my bikes from! If I find something out I'll post it too.
Thanks from flobrandx and JArnold

Oh, I saw that a while back on ducati.org. Only affecting 1199 13/14 and 899 All models.

Here's it is yoink'd

"Panigale Chain Guide and Anti-rotation Insert
Models: M.Y. 2013 and 2014 1199 Panigale and M.Y. 2014 899 Panigale (all model versions, all country versions)
Technical Service Bulletin TSB-15-001

SITUATION:

In response to reports concerning clutch slave piston noise heard by the Customer when using the control, DMH Quality and Engineering Department research determined that it is possible for water to seep into the clutch pushrod. To address this concern, the below technical change is being provided to improve sealing of the clutch pushrod
.
This upgrade includes the use of two new components:

1) A new chain guide with built-in O-ring;
2) A new anti-rotation insert with built-in seal.

Please be informed that the two new parts entered into Ducati production in two different steps:

1) On the first batch of production motorcycles you will need to install both the chain guide with built-in O-ring + the anti-rotation insert with built-in seal.
2) For the second batch of production motorcycles you will ONLY need to install the anti-rotation insert with built-in seal (since the chain guide with built-in O-ring is already installed)."

Ohhh... So it's for what I like to call "new" bikes. No love for the 2012. I'm actually kinda glad that I don't have to go to the dealership as they have already fuc*ed up my bike four (4) times while under warranty.

Since warranty has expired... I'll go back to doing everything myself as it is just a better quality job!

Thanks for the information guys!
