Not sure if this has been posted previously, I've been off site for a while, thought it may interest some anyway.

If i'm right these numbers are converted to hp at the crank, no bwhp's.

I have a question that hopefully someone on here can answer that has bugged me for a while and that is at the start of this vid he says " it's brand new never been started" but when you see it in the dyno room the number plate and rego sticker have been taped over. I was told by a Ducati dealer they can NOT sell a bike on the road without riding it, i.e. the pd, to ensure there are no defects with the bike.

So who is incorrect then?

Every dyno is calibrated differently. Like the bike ECU they use software which varies in version as well. I've had a bike on two dynos ans seen a completely different result, one much higher than the other. So it's not just the bikes that differ but also the machine/computer testing them.

Mine only made 164hp and 84 tq with no spd sensor. I dont think he turned off traction control. I was a little disappointed with the numbers. I was hoping for 172 ish. I guess it doesn't really matter, the bike is ridiculously fast. Just can't really understand how there can be such a variance.

I am no expert but I would think the traction control would need to be off, I can get my light to come on fairly easily so on a dyno you would think it would give false readings. Also each map would give different readings, right?

As you say though, nothing wrong with the power that's for sure.

The Euro bikes must be unrestricted then, so far every dyno test of US bikes I have seen show around 150 to 160 hp, a far cry off 192. I have heard Ducati claims that the bike needs to be dynoed in a certain way to make the full 195hp they claim, but I didn't see this guy in the video doing anything special.. Not complaining about a lack of power (as others said) but there is a big difference in what this video shoes compared to others I have seen.

no this isn't correct, the Road Racing World test on a 1199 returned nearly 170 hp (169 and change)rwhp. RRW has a lot more credibility than most of the bike rags.
