i got a mate to make a steel guide with a shoulder to slot into the bolt hole with a 3mm drlll hole running through the middle, bought a 90 deg drill attachment 4.50 of ebay, it was a doddle, make sure you run the drill speed very slow ..replaced with titanium bolts

If there is some bolt sticking out buy Knipex water pump pliers with the locking pin adjuster system, I can split a tractor with a pair of them, it will remove it. Also warm it with a blow torch first it will help.
Nothing sticking out, thats a problem as the bolt is small and hard and the the alloy soft and when you drill, preparation is key and drill dead straight, knock in a spiral stud extractor and unscrew..

Just snapped mine this morning. Anyone tried a left hand drill bit to remove the old one?

I stupidly did this last week. I used a small flat head screwdriver and used a hammer tapped the broken nut inside the tread counterclockwise until it came out.

Anyone suggest a place in the U.K. To get replacement bolts?

Recommend Proti for Ti. Expensive but good quality.

Added character to my bike today by snapping one of the bolts, the other side the bolts stretched and caused the clamp to distort the area where there is suppose to be space...so no you're not the only one. Misread and thought it was 14ft*lb but it was 7ft*lb....should've trusted my instincts...
