Gunny, could agree more. Pre Motocorse exhaust I spent hours either polishing that cheap arse OEM exhaust or wrapping the bastard.
Now I just pull back the bike cover and see that lovely blue exhaust.

My favorite color is Ti. I am a Ti fanatic to say the least so you can imagine my displeasure when the pipes blued. The bluing is cosmetic. Thats why its an option on cheap jewelry and trinkets. Akra uses shit Ti in their production pipes thats why it atmospherically reacts. You dont see blue exhaust nozzles on F-22s or any other high grade TI that is subjected to heat. I know I know. Its all about the fluff and doodads.

All I need now is a Beedazled plate frame and some bar end tassels to go with my blue pipe and I won't have to make the trip to San Francisco for the 60s reunion.

Exactly what I said. I fitted the full Akra system to my bike in 2014. It went a pretty blue colour. Then after a few more rides it went away again.

search and you will find others who have the same experience. Now it just looks like a metal silver colour. I did not spend $3800 AUD because it went blue. It was the weight saving and sound for me.

Hi Brad,
I wonder if the Akra system Ti is a different grade to the Motocorse Ti as the blueing in mine just grows. Having said that I have the Termi cans and Wilkson has posted many time before that Akras flow more than the Termis.

Hi mate,

No way, but I did melt the fairings after I changed the OEM air filter to a BMC race filter. The machine ran lean and the bike and exhaust system got hotter than normal and melted the lower section of the rear tail fairings. Fuck I was pissed off. I know it was a home spray job, but it looked perfect and I had gone all the way to PI and back on it with no issues.

Anyway back to an OEM air filter and OEM stealth rear fairings...All good now.

As above, mine went a very beautiful blue and it seems to have faded a bit after a few trackdays. The more recent pictures do not show it very well but you can see it is not so blue. By what @endodoc mentions I guess its a sign of good quality to the stock Ti system on the R?

What's weird is that the cans don't turn blue. I wonder if you removed the packing for a bit if they would turn blue.

Wow Royal, that windscreen is HUGE!
