I can understand the manifold rubbers from your picture above but what is the lower airbox rubber?

I would say this is what caused the backfire in the first place.

I've been using the Sprint P08 since my first service after the break in period without issues. It's the same as OEM for the Panigale R
Thanks from Twistedracer

I'm staying with this as it's the stock one on my bikes. The others just don't filter enough and the extra hp gains isn't worth the premature wear on valves and cylinder walls etc.

I guess I should clarify. My 1299 has exhaust backfire.

I guess I should clarify. My 1299 has exhaust backfire (unburned gas in the exhaust ignites during a shift). And of course that doesn't hurt anything. But an intake backfire is indeed a serious problem. Thanks for the heads up on MWR filters.

The lower air box rubber is to close your chasis ( which also acts as the air box ) and seal the vacuum air. The manifold kind of burst, ripped in half, thus pushing the lower cover airbox upwards and ripped it a bit. Will show you the product once the mech give it to me.

This was taken on the 4th September at the Sepang International Circuit.
It was a trackday. Bike had a full carbon fairing. Changed the rims to "S" model.
Used a SC Project exhaust and sounded like a MotoGP.
Overall performance was ok. It was back from the trackday then it had problems.

Is it possible to do a visible inspection on the lower manifold rubber gasket without having to remove the frame?

Also, do you happen to have a part number?

My bike is having issues with idling, so I changed both map sensors and spark plugs and still the bike will idle fine for 30 secs then start to stumble and die. The issue only occurs when idling, anything above 3k rpm the bike runs great. I sent the bike to the shop any they couldn't find any issues when plugged into their DDS system. I am stumped.

Is it due for valve clearances?

I was trying to find out the same thing and now the picture is gone
(this was about popping exhaust)

there is a lower airbox gasket 78811161A
intake manifold is 14010691A

Not sure which one was replaced, does look like the frame is removed.
