According to a friend who raced a 1299 last year, WMRRA allows certain bikes (like the pani) to get around the requirement of bringing your oil pan to tech. They understand the PITA and can clearly see the belly pan mounted with or without the fairings on with a close inspection.

Yes, a bit more work to deal with between rounds doing oil changes, but it's not THAT hard to drop the cans.
Take a picture of your drain plug safety wired also to show tech the first time.

1299 Belly pan

I too am frustrated searching for a belly pan, (oil catch pan) for my 1299. I participate in Track Days and want to run some WERA events. Some manufacturers sell belly pans that can only be installed with their brand of aftermarket farings, (must purchase lower and upper parts).
If anyone has a recommended source, please communicate the information.

Do what Iím doing...

Selling the bike and buying a different one. I had the R1m before my 1299s and Iím going back to an R1. There are tons of parts at the track if something breaks and you go down, itís more reliable, easier to work on and stuff is cheaper. If you were to go down, thereís a strong chance the exhaust is getting damaged... replacing it going to cost you anywhere front $2500 to $5000... no thanks.

There are some great options on the WERA boards for bikes. Once every two weeks or so a steal of a deal will be posted.
