rough running 1199

I have developed a problem with my 2013 panigale 1199.
It runs great when cold, but after it heats up,(even after casual riding),
it runs terrible. I need to ride the clutch to pick up speed and then it sputters and
spurts until I reach 4-5 k rpm. I usually get an engine light also. Temp.
is about 208 f. even during a 60 degree evening. I have taken it to the dealer
twice already and no faults are diagnosed? any ideas? should I stop riding it?

How can you get an engine light and the dealer doesnt find a code ??

Maybe time for a new dealer, or one with the Ducati diagnostic software to challenge the ECU.

Exactly if a dealer can't find a code when a check engine light comes on - find another dealer.

Sounds like the symptoms of a faulty map sensor. About a $250 or so job parts n labor at a dealer unless you have an extended warranty. Mine was doing the same thing. Replaced under extended warranty.

vertical MAP. seems like there are a handful of threads of 12'-13' 1199's having this issue. wonder if theres a shelf life on those sensors.

My dealer was unsuccessful in addressing the problem on the first visit, too. If I remember correctly, the faults didn't immediately point to the sensor. They re calibrated the TPS/updated the ECU etc before its second visit where the sensor was just replaced. problem solved.

Wonder if there’s equivalent map sensor that would work/cheaper.
