New member wanting to raise 1199 rear ride height

Hello all,

New to forum. I have a 2013 1199 abs and want to make turning quicker. Think it can be done on rear shock. Any advise on how to raise rear suspension?

leave it alone. Tire selection makes or breaks turn in. If you have sag set properly the only error would be the drive not the bike.

I Ride: 2014 1199S
Go with the Dunlop Q4. They are taller than OEM and most other tires I think.

Take a few turns of preload out of the front and add a few to the rear. You will understand then if you want to spend $$ on geometry change. If you feel the bike is not turning in , it's the front , springs may be to stiff for your weight ? Rear is generally related to exit and drive .

My bike has Maxton cartridge front fork conversion. Was just wanting to raise rear to see if it dropped into corners easier and on previous bikes I have dropped forks up yokes.
