Recommended lithium battery and installation

Hi,

I seem to remember a thread covering the installation of Lithium batteries but can't seem to find it. Can someone send the link or offer any advice on what the recommended battery is and how they installed it? I purchased a skyrich less that a year ago and it's already bloated and there is nothing wrong with my charging system (13.3-14.7v at the track). Local distributor won't replace the battery under warranty so I want to try something else. Skyrich battery was OK and fitted the existing location same as oem battery.

Regards,

Yoshi

I have an antigravity. same as the one in the installation video below. I have no complaints in terms of its output or ease of installation.

I’m also looking. Seems antigravity has best reviews. According to revzilla the yt7b-bs is discontinued. I still see it on eBay and other sites tho but don’t want old stock or counterfeit They are starting to sell their “restart” version which is half the cca but has reserve that turns on with button.

I have a shorai and am happy with it. Just make sure you get the right polarity to the right leads since the battery faces "backward" on the duc

Recommended lithium battery and installation

I going to buy a cheap lithium battery. Heard some bad things about the skyrich brand from my local friends. I can get a poweroad lithium for $155 compared to a skyrich for $258 (Singapore dollars )

Shorai and anti gravity batteries are around the $250 mark in Singapore.

Skyrich is the oem battery for the R.
Mine has given no problems in over 2 years.

Just to offer another point of view, I had a Deltran battery tender brand lithium in my Monster and never had any problems with it. It was about $100, direct replacement for the stock battery and I would buy one again in a second.

Im not sure spending more gets you more.

I'm using an earthX. Just had it installed yesterday. Had a WPS in my cbr600 for 2yrs before I sold the bike recently and had no issues with it, even after at one point it was sitting for just under 3 months. Had a Ballistic in my Daytona 675 few years back. I think the risk is minimal across all lithium batteries. I'm not sure any of them are worth more than $150 max. I've read more crap reviews about Shorai than any other but that may be because most people on this forum have or still own a shorai over the other brands out there.
