This is why I decided to move and live in the middle of nowhere, in case somebody decides to be a hero, nobody will hear the bullet planted between their eyes.

I used to live in a city and had things stolen or broken into often. Leaving anything unsecured around in an invitation to the low lives that manifest in the city limits of urban America.

quite the opposite, i don't know of any modern (nice) car that works that work. it wouldn't make any sense to restrict those buttons to only when the car is on.

WTF is wrong with people? Sorry to hear that you've been targeted by someone who is focused on forging a career which involves picking up soap in a shared shower with like minded folk.

Wilkinson is a good dude ...
what about keeping the bike in secure storage? This is what some of my sons friends in Bristol do. 24hr security on site👍

That's an option, but it also means that any time I want to ride, I need to drive to my bike to do it. I'd rather leave it at a friend's house (who has lots of guns and dogs). I've talked to the head of my HOA and I've been given access to a secure area of the garage where it should be safe until a solution for the entire garage can be found. Just sucks that I can't move it there until I repair it because the bar lock is engaged and can't be unlocked until I remove the ignition.

On another note, I swung by the local Ducati dealership and they said that the keys aren't paired with the ECU, so I should be able to just install the lock set and I'll be set to go.
Thanks from wilkson
