Mods - Pro-Bolt et al

Folks,

Mr XBOX way back in the day kindly posted some info related to Pro-Bolt.

I recently investigated Pro-Bolt, I could not find a kit for the 1199. I sourced a kit for my 1098 S Tricolore and as such I have commenced collecting the Gold Titanium nuts and bolts. From my research I found that most folks recommend Stainless steel or Titanium. The initial bolts I received appear to be very high quality.

For the 1199 I am leaning towards gun metal.

Some questions ?

- Has anyone seen or heard anything about a Pro-Bolt kit for the 1199 ?
- Is the premium for Race Spec version of the bolts worth it ?
- What are preferences for colors ( I gather that Gold would not really go with the 1199 ) ?
- Am I best holding off Pro-Bolting the 1199 due warranty voiding ?

As Pro-Bolt is an English company, I imagine that UK forum members maybe have access to better Intel ?

Awesome!

Have now found someone who is looking at the same type of accessories I am!
Been going around the world with this one and they are far and few between. Made contact w a rep from Lightech who sent me this. Pro Bolt is a way out for now. Both Bellissimoto and Motowheels can obtain them for ya too! Why in world would it void any warranty too?

Looking for four gold bolts right now to replace the OEM fuel cap ones which I just cant seem to find.

Meanwhile:

Fair comment :-)

What lead me down the Pro-Bolt path was the fact that a couple of bolts on my 1199 have started to round off

I got advised to check out Titanium due to its properties and warned to stay away from Aluminum due to weakness.

For sure Ti, I have replaced several with Ti - I was referring to aluminum or steel. I stripped a rotor bolt already.

I think titanium is a way to go but PRICEY!!! Might as well save weight as well. When I finich with CF I'll start with bolts

Being from the UK originally I used a Pro-Bolt kit for my R6. The bolts are exceptional quality & you get what you pay for.
I also checked their website just a few days a go but as yet they have not done a complete kit. Can't imagine that changing bolts would void a warranty though.
