As I pull into Starbucks I hang my leg out moto-gp style, cures the heat issue with left foot.

I don't use DQS unless I am going at least 1/2 throttle. DQS gives that split second when attempting to go fast. If I am not in a hurry, the clutch still works. Learn the clutch less up shift technique without the quick shifter, helps you understand when to use DQS.

I Ride: '12 1199 ABS
The quick shifter works a lot better under load. Definitely, at least 1/2 throttle, or more.

^This. More important if you don't have big feet. I wear a sz 10 boot, and this was a must (and worked). The footpeg to shifter distance is pretty long on the Pani as well, considerably longer than any of my other bikes; meaning the stroke is longer. Of course Ducati had to make adjusting the shifter position twice as hard as it should be, since you cant just loosen the end nuts on the connecting rod and turn the middle to easily fine tune the position like you can with just about every other sportbike on earth. I think someone sells a replacement connecting rod with reversed threads on one end to make this possible, but it's kind of ridiculous that it doesn't come that way already. Forget for now where I saw that; will update my post with if I can remember.
