Out-the-Door Price

What kind of out-the-door prices are you guys being quoted? For a base without ABS, I was quoted $19,915 out the door at one dealership, and approximately $19,500 from another dealership. I think I only paid about $500 in set-up, freight, tax, title, license etc. on my 1198, but will have to check my paperwork to confirm. Is this dealership gouging or a premium their tacking on for trying to get an earllier example?

When I get home tonight, I'll pull up my paperwork and see what I was told.

I too am curious to hear other people's OTD price and the breakdown for their 1199.

I've had 4 previoud Ducs, 3 of which were new and only paid set up/freight on 1 totalling $500. I've was quoted $18500 by both my closest dealers and both expressed that they can't waive the Set up/freight cost due to the bike being hot shit basically lol. That i'm cool with.

Just out of curiousity i've called other dealers and they quoted over $19k...not gonna happen.

Guys, MSRP is not the bible, its negotiable ;-)...but like I said, with this being the hottest thing on the market rigth now dont expect much of a "deal". Every dealer has their price and there prefered customers for that matter.

good luck

I Ride: 2013 S ABS!!!
I was quoted on a base without ABS, and termi slip-ons right around $21,000. No setup fee, however I will have to get the full termi system due to the increased power after I see some good numbers...

Thanks Ducenzo, good information. I agree with you that they're not gonna be too flexible on the MSRP, with this thing just coming out of the gates and demand high. Can you tell me who the dealerships were that quoted in the $18k range? I'd be willing to travel to pick it up or arrange shipment for the right price. At the minimum, it would give me solid negotiating ground to stand on with my (semi) local dealerships if I had a quote from another dealership.

Yeah my 2nd 999 I bought was new and I drove my car 8 hrs to Chicago and turn arround rode the new bike 8 hrs back home (my freind drove my car back, 530 miles both ways)...just for the right price...over $1000 under MSRP infact.

My local dealer at the time was reluctant to give me service but, knew he couldnt offer me a better deal so. they got over it. Customer is always right brah

So I feel ya, exotic bike dealers always try to get ya...I've had 4 hondas also and have never ever paid MSRP much less setup/freight total, out the door lol

Plus telling you what "I" was offered may either be to my disadvantage or work in my favor, if you were to inquire to my dealers :-)...either way, I live in the Kansas City area of MO...you do the rest of the research

keep in mind you would probably be behind 40 ppl if you were to switch to my dealer...i'm #2

good luck
