Short throw, I reckon your asking for trouble ? I have my RBW modified where the 1st 30% of turn is soft so as modulating the throttle on the tire edge is much more forgiving. It then of course ramps up through the remainding 70%. The full twist is still the same. That is for the track, for road riding I would imagine short throw on a 200hp twin would be dangerous.
Watching closely the WSBK and GP guys getting on the throttle they have another technique again, not sure what it is but they seem to release and move their hand forward to get an xtra twist ??? I havent worked that one out yet

Back when I actually raced, I ran reduced throw on all of my throttles. Nothing major, but enough. Never caused me any issues. I preferred it.

On what though, some bikes you need to get to WOT quicker than others. It is what you get use to as well.

I have the Jetprime/Domino unit. Still in the box. Cannot speak on the functionality. Mechanically, its a bit messy.
