1199 noob help

hello, i just have a few questions about the 1199s .

first thing i am wanting to do is clip ons, yes i know what bike i have. i have ridden the bike for 2 months now, has definitely gotten better since when i first got it, i have the stock seat and the comfort seat, really enjoy the feel of being in the bike with the stock, no pain in my wrist... but would like the comfortability on my ass lol, i am just wondering if anyone out there has yet to put on the duca bike clip ons or the speedy moto? i see they come in 20mm and 35mm rises. i am just wondering about fitment and if anyone has had to change any of the lines to do so. i also see that rizoma makes some alternate reservoir brackets to fit inside the clipon i believe, so i would think that would eliminate the reservoirs getting in the way. any help??

i should use 15w50 since im in north texas, right ?
was planning on sticking with amsoil because thats who ive always chosen.i assume its okay in these bikes? (not having an oil war) lol

No 10-40 amsoil would be best. The first number is your winter number and 10 is fine. The 40 is hot, and outside temp is not in play to a engine that runs 200F on hot days. 40 is all you need.

I ditched the comf seat too for stock, hated the height. Best bet is to add some high density foam under it with a thin layer of normal seat foam totaling 1/2" or just add 1/4" high density and recover.

also be careful with different bars, some people hate the difference in vibration, the stock bars are fine and there is no real need for anything else, unless you wreck it and need new bars.
