Ducati Panigale Tricolore rev limit at 10 000 rpm?

Gentlemen (and ladies),
I have a problem. My Tricolore (she has a full Termi system with up maps) received a factory software update about two weeks ago.
Since then her throttle became woolly when she was cold (revved as slow as a previous generation v twin) and it progressively became worse even after pull off. It felt like she was running only on one cylinder at times. It also seemed that she had a rev limit at 10 000 rpm.
I took her back to the dealer who did a lot of testing etc. The dealer reinstalled the original Termi up maps and took her for a test drive. At that stage she had a rev limit of only 5000 rpm!? (sounds like a "limp home mode" to me).
Finally the dealer removed her spark plugs and it seemed that the lower cylinder's spark plug had died and both were carbonned up. After replacing the plugs her motor had its old sparkle and revved up very quickly as it should, but retained the 10 000 rpm rev limit so she is back in the workshop.
Any suggestions of what could be wrong? (she has done close to 11 000 km's)

I've absolutely no clue. It would seem it must be related to the ECU? As it had problems even when you went back to the old map?

Question

No idea about that one here either mate!

I know that different countries have different restrictions re pollution etc and have been told that fuelling or mapping can be quite different according to these restrictions and the quality of fuel made available where you are!

Just a thought but please update this thread when you get her back or have a definitive answer, it would be great to know whats going on with her.

Good luck!

huh, sounds like the ecu has a "harley" mode : only revs to 5k rpm and runs like crap...

Tell the Dealer to reset the Adapter perimeters only.

I have not yet had any solution from the dealer, but I am suspecting that the local garage filled its 95 octane tanks with 93 octane and is so making a bigger profit. Would anybody know what effect a lower octane would have on an Panigale?

Reverting back to the old map did not solve anything.

lower octane can case knocking or detonation. if it's audible it'll sound like marble in a tin coffee can rattling around.

reply to CEROVA1199

resetting the (Adapter perimeters) does not work
its actually called ( Reset self-adaptive A/F Parameters )
