Electronic Shift Assist

Anyone have any experience with it? Iím gonna try and get it on my R so I can still race with my damn (hopefully temporary) foot drop. GP Cycles in San Diego has experience with Translogicís but Iím told theyíre not making them anymore so heís looking into Pro Shiftís.

I have not heard anything about TL stopping production on shift units plus the new design had just came out not too long ago so I got one of the first units early in the year still running strong. Don't install a OEM setup it will fail so if you can't get a TL then go with a Cordona unit.

I don't know...that's just what I was told. You mean don't install it with the OEM QS? I've got the BSD QS on mine and it's been solid-

Yeah I will check with them to see if there still available. The OEM sensor just gets removed un plug it and remove it they don't work that well plus it will fail sooner or later. The TL or Cordona unit mounts and plugs in place of the OEM one you won't be disappointed.

If I remember correctly Kope had installed the push button shifter on one of his bikes. I canít remember who made that setup. Good luck Mat, hope you find a workable solution.

Hmmm...looking on TL's site...it just says "Out of Stock" until 2020. So maybe they are still making it?

Which QS do you use it with? Who installed it? Up-shifts and down-shifts are smooth and quick?

This is the latest version TL unit that is installed on my 16R so it plug n play. If you have a 1299 or 15/16R this is the part number.

TLS-DCS-J3-PAN-ASY

Just remove your left mid fairing and connector is right there so yes up/down shifts spot on no false neutrals or miss shifts like you get with the stock pos.

Regarding electronic shift assist...I'm referring to the motor that mounts in front of the shift rod...with buttons on the L clip-on you press to shift (as my foot's not functioning properly to be able to operate the shifter).

Is that what you're referring to?
