Proper tank pad and tidy for 1199's

Went with the 3M material from TankSlapper and it came out amazing and does not interfere with the aesthetics of the contrasting red and aluminum IMO, as does the Duc after market parts. The whole front end has the 3M material now. Adding bits of the kit each weekend.

Also included are a couple of close up shots of the EvoTech tidy which I really like. Very nicely machined. Great fit. Easy to install.

Check them out below in first 5 pics.

I Ride: Panigale R
I'm torn, tankslapper looks like the way to go. May grab the DP tank pad until I can get the 3M film in.

RSR - thanks for posting. Beautiful bike and great job on the application. I have 3M on several cars, but for my Pani I'm getting the XPEL Ultimate "Self-Healing" film tomorrow. This stuff is the next generation from 3M in that it supposedly "self-heals" from nicks and scratches that can occur from debris impacts, cleaning, etc.

FYI - here is a post I made on another paint protection film thread:

Self-healing in that if it ever gets nicked or deformed from impact (the 3M stuff does get scratched) you supposedly pour hot water on it and it "heals" itself. The guy who did the 3M PPF on my vehicles is doing a 3/4 application on my Pani for $315. Pricey, but so is the bike and I HATE rock chips. It keeps me from going on group rides and following anyone with such a nice bike.

Here is the review from a Porschefile site that convinced me:

Paint Protection Film (PPF): XPel Ultimate vs the others - PistonHeads

Look at this 911, it has the XPEL Ultimate film covering the ENTIRE car:
