I Ride: Base Panigale

I weigh 180+ and ride on a combination of tight bumpy back roads with some 120mph + sections, and some relitivley smooth mountain roads with some stupid fast sections. The bike feels pretty good, much better than when I first bought it.I am running the rear link in the F position, that how it came, I am going to try the P setting this weekend based on what I've read here. The bike is better than I am, so for me the light weight of the base, along with less electronic crap to go wrong was why I bought it. I love it. Steve
Most of my riding is on the great ocean road.....unfortunately it is turning into a goat track due to the amount of tourist buses. The bike came set up correctly ( Factory settings). First thing changed was the rear link to P. This did smooth things out a little. From here I backed off the compression and rebound 2 clicks front and rear. Some of the bigger bump still catch the rear out. Going 3 out on compression is boarder line too soft. The last track day I used the standard settings as a starting point. For my skill level the forks were fine. The rear tyre was not looking health after 2 session. I end up with the rear set at 8 compression and 14 rebound after enlisting the help of the suspension guru at the track. By the end of the day the tyre looked quite good. Rethinking throttle application also played a part. I'm yet to set up the sag....which should have been the first step.n
