Different Handlebar Grips

This is weird - my LH grip is about 7mm shorter than the throttle grip.

Noticed it as there's a bigger gap between bar end and grip on the LHS.

Looking at other bike pics, I don't notice the same issue.

Early version parts manual is wrong, as it says they are universal LHS/RHS ... but then "Ducati" would be upside down on one side

No biggie, just a casual observation

Mine is the same. I noticed this when I picked it up. Just figured the grip wasnt pulled down to the bar end far enough.

No offset there - the installer failed to account for the 1 to 1.5 mm clearance gap either side of the throttle grip and pushed the left side grip bang up to the left side switch gear. I repositioned my by pulling and slightly twisting back a forth to pull it slightly away from the switch gear and reduce the gap to the bar end.

Did you have to do anything special or out of the ordinary to replace your grips?
