Tricolore - Termi question

Picked up my Tricolore 2 days ago and I knew that the Termi exhaust was going to be separately fitted, but I didn't realize that it's not supposed to be fitted until after the 1000km running in? If this is the case, why am I seeing so many Tricolore's here with the Termi's fitted before run-in?

I Ride: Every Ducati I can get my hands on
Everybody has their opinions on what to do, some put them on before some after. I have always done my run ins by the book since 78 and never had problems with my bikes.
Do your run in then while it is in at the dealer for the first service then do all the upgrades seems a good thing, but really it is up to you on what you think is better or prefer.

The Termi silencers or full system make absolutely no difference to the break in.

My dealer installed the Termi silencers on my Tri as part of the deliver prep without me asking for them to do this.

I had my full system installed at set up. Makes no difference.

My dealer recommended to install the full system at delivery, as the exhaustvalve can create quit some pressure in the system when closed, wich is in no way better for the engine than go the open way.

in australia (at least in sydney anyway) it seems that the installation is done at first service. However, if you pick up the bike and pay them to install it then they will do it. After all it's your bike.

From what i've heard it better to let the engine breath normally on stock exhaust and then free up the flow with the termis after some km's on the clock. However, as you can see many from other countries have their installed from day dot and i'm almost certain that their bikes are running fine.

At frasers at least they will charge you 3 hr labour to install it at first service. More $$$ for those wankers.

The other thing is a that the termis are not legal here so they need to get asked by you to put them on.

All BS if you ask me. If you want it looking HOT from day 1 put them on. I'm going to get mine install at first service, partly because i want to feel the difference between stock and termi's.

I would be interested to hear the difference, as I only waited 2-rides before changing them ...... but then my stock cans did have a whacking great f$&cking dent in them from the factory

I have my Termis on the bike from day 1. I love them. They are pretty loud, but not as loud as the open Termis on my wifes Monster 1100 EVO though.
