yep,

i'm currently making an adapter to fit the 1299 cans to the 1199 and 899 models.

deutsche Wertarbeit und so...

meaning clamp to triple screw.

Guess I'm used my very loud beast with Phil's cored exhaust and Akra TuneBoy tune. This Akra video sounds stock'ish. Not loud or rumbly to me at all. I have to get my bike to a dyno soon and compare hp and torque values to back up my feeling that my bike has tangible gains from the exhaust and tunes. Nice to know I've saved $5k .

Why do you want to install the more expensive DP Akra cans for 1299 to a 1199/899? For this usage there is a respective Y-connector available as spare part from Akra. I'm quite sure that the cans are the same from Akra and DP Akra, only the Y-connector to fit to the 1299 flapper valve housing is different with the DP Akra slip-on kit.

I think the best option for 1199 and 1299 is a full Akra anyway...

i thought they're all 60mm? aside from that:

i'm not talking about myself, but there will be plenty of peeps trying to fit the "newer" and - as stated by TJ99 - more efficient stock cans of the 1299 (that are similar in flow to the akras) on to the 1199.

i have yet to cut some 1299 cans up, but from what i've seen from the TI 1199 SL stock akra's so far, i will still have to be convinced that it's not just a marketing trick!!!

for sure, there's plenty of reasons to buy akras, but plenty of people will go with a lower price option and buy 2nd hand 1299 stock or Ti cans to put them on their 1199 or 899, since spending north of 3.5 grand won't make you half a second faster.

and louder is easy ...

60mm is for the general main pipes diameter.

You are right, the will be a demand to fit a 1299/1299S OEM System to a 1199/899.

But I think the maximum performance improvement you'll get if you use the entire 1299 system (incl. increase of diameter from 56 to 60mm), not only cans. This should fit mechanically w/o major modifications to a 1199/899.

For the 1299 OEM cans, I assume that the Y-connector is welded to the cans (like for the 1199 OEM cans), no idea if this is easy to change from clamp to flange type connection.

For the OEM Akra cans (with catalyser) from the Panigale R 2015/SL, I don't know if the Y-connector is welded to the cans...

Soo.. we are 100% positive if I head over to carpimoto and purchase the S-D11E1-T full exhaust, it will fit on my 1299s I have coming in March? ?

LOL.. this decision is slightly unnerving

If that is the current full akra exhaust then yes.

Yep. If Akra's website is up to date that's the same model number.

The only issue with the stock cans for guys like myself is finding an oil retention pan that you can use for racing. If that is a go, I'm not sure I would spend 3k on Akras either.
