Jogy - are you certain it's different? From pics I agree with you but both the UK Akrapovic distributor and Omnia Racing are telling me that the slip on kit is identical for the 1199 and 1299. Want to be sure before ordering!

part true.

WERA allows the "turkey pan fix" and i've seen 1199's with it (weltonrk's)

they check it at tech and you won't see it behind the fairings.

his install looked pretty clean and - it held the oil that was permeating the engine case!!!

Quite sure, if you look on the official Akrapovic site, the part no for 1199/899 is S-D9SO4-T:

Akrapovi?

As you can see on the Image, the Y-connector of the cans will fit only to the flange-type pipe of the 1199/899 OEM System.

Additionally, you dont't see any part listet herer for the 1299...

Just had a phone call and yes, you are correct. After our conversation yesterday the distributor went away and did some digging to be sure. They've now been told they are not compatible. Also worthy of note is:-

- Akrapovic and Ducati have an exclusivity deal, will only be available from DP.
- For those with 1199 Akra slips the Y connector will not be sold separately, prepare to buy a new system.
- Price will be approximately 2,600 (UK).

So, for me, that's an 850 hike to purchase a system near identical to the 1199. On principal for the first time in 15 years I'm considering sticking with the stock exhaust.

Anyone know when the Carbon Termi's will be available for the 1299?!

Go for a full Akra System S-D11E1-T fitting the 1199 (what you'll get almost for the same price as the DP Akra cans), this will also fit to the 1299 (and is obviously the same as the full Akra DP System for 1299), it only comes w/o up-map-stick, so you need to get an apropiate map via tuneboy for e.g.
Thanks from SPJ

buy the DP set-up....most money, but least hassle, done correctly from the start, no dyno voo-doo ..... means more riding time

Alas, I've been told by my dealer here in CA that they can't supply the Akra exhaust because of CA emissions BS... d'oh. And if the exhaust is only available through DP, going to have to order from an out of state dealer. So irritating.

Or save the $5K, buy BSTs. Thinking plan B will have a greater impact, and save $1K.

My liberated Termis sound much wilder than those Acras.
