Just got the 1299 version of NRC tail tidy/LED indicators

Just received the NRC tail tidy/LED indicator package. Will install this weekend; it looks dead simple.

I will post pics when completed...

I installed mine last night. Hardest part was I was taking the passenger pegs off too. Fuuuuuccccckkkkkk those bolts were in deep and really tight. Also, my kit was missing a pair of nuts/bolts to connect the license plate bracket to the mounting bracket. Also, removing the stock tail bit was a unique experience - need LONG allen keys to reach two of the bolts (and a flashlight helped immensely)

Let's hope I have all the bolts.. How long was the allen key you needed? Might have to swing by the hardware store...

Got any pics?

Looks great, I have a couple of questions before I pull trigger on this:

Are the indicators and black plate only held in place with the double sided tape?
Do you need the passenger pegs installed to fix the license plate holder and how is it attached?

Yes, double sided tape and a long bolt, but the bolt is optional. If you use it, you cannot use the channel under the seat for tool storage.

No, the license plate holder uses shorter screws if you don't have the pegs installed. There are collars with longer bolts for use with the foot pegs. The license holder uses the bolts threads for the rearward mount for the pegs.
Thanks from Steveo

I Ride: 1299s
Looking forward to pictures on this instal.

Just to be clear; did you say that you can use the double sided tape and a bolt if you fore-go the tool storage? I have this weird feeling using double-sided tape for anything other than a random GoPro mount or something.

Here are some pictures of mine, I just put her on this weekend. I put the bolt in as well, and I can still easily get my "Tool Kit" in. It is just long enough, but I will probably replace with a stainless one at some point.

I had to slot out the adapter plate as well, but it is aluminum so that was simple. It just needed to be opened up a tiny bit to easily fit the M8 bolts, which is also what I picked up from the hardware store to install the adapter plate to match the peg bolts. Button head worked well.

It is a bit tight in spots to get it all together license plate and all, but once said and done it looks great.

Side note bike is amazing, leaps and bounds above my old 675.

This is NOT correct - as I have the long bolt and the tools in place right now.

+1 - some nice T-handles would've made life a LOT easier.
