Why No Throttle Free-Play Adjustment?

already used search...

why didn't ducati add this feature for the 1299? seems like only way to adjust the "free-play" (to generally accepted 3mm-5mm) is to dissassemble and add somekinda "bumper" at the rest area...

i don't like too much play

you can get the bumpers to reduce it.

i can't recall right now what they were called, check the search on here for it.

Yea well the only thing I did was use 18ga wire and stick it in the opening of the slack of the upper and lower edges of the throttle plate inside. Works awesome. Or you could buy the properly made spacer from Omaha Ducati with Jarel. A real adjustment screw would be nice I guess.

The Dragon Lady has no free play on her throttle, which makes it easy to do downshifts with throttle blips and zero clutch use.

Or support one of our site sponsors and know EXACTLY what you are getting and provides non-stop know-how.

P.S. Jarel is absolutely amazing and is a great to work with. Has ALWAYS found the answer to any of my insane questions.

Does it require taking the whole throttle grip and assembly off? If so, how much time is involved in doing it?

Cheers.

Like to support, but if 1 gram pieces shipping cost in europe is over 40$... Maybe order it somewhere else..

Ordered the kit off of ebay. I'll let you know Shilling. The throttle response has been noticeable.
