Brakes on this thing are crazy - tank grips?

They feel like twice the power of my 899 brakes.

Does anyone use tank grips to help them stay locked in the tank under braking and if so which ones? Or are these just for hanging off in a track environment. One concern (because I'm a tart) is ruining the appearance of the tank as I have paint protection, no tank pad.

Always. Can't ride without them. For me that is their main purpose...braking stability. Of course they come in handy when hanging off also.

I have tried a few different types, I prefer Stompgrip the best.

I have installed/removed them on several bikes and never had them mess up the paint.

Yes they are sick and stop like hitting a wall.. Ohhh and Stomp Grip unless you want to waste money, time and your sense of security of hanging onto the bike like I did with Tech Spec.

not liking my brakes atm... already tried to bleed it several times. dealers don't check brakes when they receive the bikes from the factory? i thought they usually bleed them before customer purchase. sigh

fyi, if you are having issues with tankpads or tank grips sticking, use Super 77 spray adhesive. won't move around, but still could remove if needed

I bled mine already (stock fluid goes dark really fast) and got some air out - bleed screws next to the reservoirs helps

I use this stuff and have had great luck with it
