The Akra slips get rid of everything downstream of the flapper valve which is retained. On the 1199 the servo and cabling was removed, according to the dealer on the 1299 it's left in place but the upmap inhibits it. Why you'd leave it on is beyond me as it's just unnecessary weight. The question is whether this is a design flaw or whether he's just been unlucky with a weak spring. Personally think the dealer should remove the valve for him, they're waiting for Ducati to get back to them. This was the DP slips costing £2,400 ish, he's now pissed at Ducati as he's paid for a system which currently doesn't work. I paid the same for an 1199 full Akra Evo system, again I think the price for DP Akra is stupidly inflated.
