Shell nitro plus 99 octane

Anyone try the new shell nitro plus UNLEADED? reported to be 99 octane and have add friction reducers. The word is that it is supposed to reduce frictional, clean and increase performance. I'm in CA and wanted to know which station would have it in the Orange County area.
Thanks from Gunny Fitz

I filled up my tank at Chuckwalla Raceway with 101 Octane and did NOT notice a difference in hp or torque or top end speed?

Pretty sure your bike will perform identically. The ECU is going to pretend like it is 91 or 93 anyway.

It has been proven time and time and time again, anything over 93 in these bikes on factory tune/ecu is just a 100% waste. Does zero for your bike. Now, if you have a tune for such an octane that high you will absolutely notice a difference. Stock tune you're just throwing more money out the door.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried it in California. I'm more interested in the price and friction reducer claims. I already knew our bikes would need more mods then stock to see any benefits in performance. When I originally mentioned performance increase it would be due to less friction.

I have an open exhaust (by Phil) and the full Akra TuneBoy tune and still did NOT notice a change unfortunately.

Ive been told you need balls to the wall work to notice any difference. Crasking the motor open, pistons/rings, rods etc.

I'm not sure how much this Shell fuel is per gallon, but if its anywhere near the $9.50 a gallon my local Sunoco get for their 99 or 100 (i think) octane gas thats insane anyone would even waste a few gallons of it.

Now, if you can get non-ethanol octane gasoling there ya go. Save your motor! Sadly its impossible to find it in NJ.
Thanks from Pilot
