1299 knocking noise in neutral

Hi,

I'm new to the Forum and I've got a technical issue regarding the clutch/transmission (probably...):

It's a 1299 from 2015 with now about 1k miles. First service done.
Before the first service, so at about 400-500 miles I noticed kind of a metallic knocking noise when in neutral and clutch released.
As soon as I pull the clutch lever the noise is gone immediately.

It seems to come from the clutch or transmission side of the bike and you can feel it in the whole right fairing.

Any ideas?

I already told my dealer and they said it was "normal". Can't believe that... As I took 2 other 1299's from my dealership and none of them has the same issue.

So they took the clutch apart and tightened the torque of every part in it as they told me.
Didn't help...

It's starting to drive me crazy..

In all seriousness if the dealer took it apart and it's still under warranty for a couple of years I wouldn't worry about it. All clutches make some noise when engaged and disengaged.

It's normal, can you feel the clutch lever kick a bit as well ? also normal, you should hear the KTM LC 4 in the Duke R it sounds like it's going to drop a valve....and it's normal,
Thanks from imbloodyskintagain

I have the same noise in my 1299. It's like a clutch chatter/ tapping noise.

Completely normal.

past twenty or so sport bikes I've owned did this exact same thing so i'd say its normal

even ducati dry clutches make less noise with the clutch pulled in / springs compressed . probably the same reason
