Q3's are my favorite sport tires, but I avoided them on this bike.

I wish Dunlop made them in the same profile as the SC's

Agreed 7.5k miles on a set of stockers is crazy high.

I love my Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V2 and you can get a combo deal 120/70 ZR17 & 200/55 ZR17 for ~$365.00

I got 6800 miles from my last set of SP V2s. Got the SC2s for this season since I do a lot of trackdays, and I actually like them even better. They heat up enough to be properly safe in about 500 meters, and they wear nice and even on track. Got about 3500 miles combined commuting and trackdays from a set, and it's good enough for me..

I didn't see the Q3 in size 200/55. Will the 200/50's fit?

I recently picked up a set of the new 2016 Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S21's. They've surprised me how well they've held up on my weekend canyon rides. I remember my Supercorsa's especially the front (sidewalls) looking pretty haggered after just a handful of sessions and these are holding up 1000 times better. Same amount of miles and mucho tread left front and back. Check 'em out guys the info I've read up on 'em is this is what the engineers were targeting; great tires with longevity.

Was going to suggest S21's also; I have S20 Evo's on now and a set of S21's in shrink wrap waiting to mount. Haven't ridden the Pani enough this season to go through my usual allotment... But the 'Stones work very well on the street and have plenty of grip for the odd trackday.

As for comments on Q3's, I have run through quite a few Q3's on multiple bikes (Pani included) and they're very good street tires, but they do mess with the TC a bit on the older 1199's like mine. I gather the 1299 has the ability to compensate for different tires, but on the 1199 you do need to be mindful of the front/rear circumference ratio to avoid TC issues. If you do go Q3 the 195/55 is the one to go with that's closest to the OEM Pirelli's; do NOT go 200/50. Wrong profile, wrong circumference.
