Let's talk eBay rearsets

So I am looking for rearsets to improve the footpeg grip. I know there are high quality but expensive rearsets out there, but I want to talk about the eBay specials from china. I know some people have purchased from eBay and have been pretty happy with their purchase. What I'd like to know is which rearsets brand (or which seller did you buy from) did you purchase. What are your impressions of fit, finish, function and overall quality. Would you buy again or would you buy something like lighttech next time around. I am looking for track rearsets, not something to show off at the coffee shop.

I wouldn't go for the specials from China... You want quality track rearsets, that's gonna cost you $$$ because that's the price of quality.
Check http://bellissimoto.com/PanigaleRrstsFtpgs.html they have a Special going on for some Adjustable Rearsets for the 1299/1199/959/899 Panigale usually $719.95 and onsale at $499.95

HQ Racing. For less than $300, they have forward, backward, up and down adjustability and trouble free shifting. The only downside I could think of is maybe the heel guard be a little bit higher but still works fine. Seller used to be a member here and raced his Panigale so he decided to make his own. His communication and customer service was above and beyond and I definitely put him through the ringer with my requests due to customization problems which were no fault of his but he helped me every which way possible. Some of the more expensive rearsets have less adjustability and some members have even complained about their expensive ducabike rearsets. Ebay rearsets may be $150- $200 but I'd spend the extra $100 or so and get the HQ Racing if you're not looking to break the bank. The pegs also fold in as well.

Don't do it.

I spent the $100 to try them and they fell apart several times. I replaced a few parts but after they fell apart the fourth time I spent the money on Rizoma's.

"You get what you pay for" still seems true.

Just try changing out the foot pegs for ones with better grip.

I remember when the Panigale 1199 first came out we all watched this video. This guy seems to be coping with the standard rearsets. The OEM pegs were too slippery though. I heard they fixed this for the 1299.

Not really, the 1299 footpegs are still too slippery!

If you're not looking to change the footpeg position, then save yourself some money and just replace the pegs for ones with better grip. I did this with my 1199 pegs and replaced them with some eBay China pegs for maybe $50. Works fine on street and track, never had any issues. I'm still using them on my 1299 now after 4 years on my 1199. Installation takes 5 min.

If you're going to the track, buy Eric's stuff. Go to Woodcraft. I've raced my Panigale 1299S several times and done a boat load of track days. Basic. Functional. Black. Bullet proof. Reverse or standard shift. Great customer service. If you want to talk to Eric, he will talk to you. If you have a problem or need replacement parts, they will help. If you buy the Woodcraft rear sets, you will put them on and that's the end of it. I've put Woodcraft rear sets on Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Aprilia. Never an issue, never. Ask some of the other guys on here what they think about Woodcraft. If you're "not going to the coffee shop" and want to use your bike at the track...Peace. Highside49

My vote also goes to WOODCRAFT, I have had them on all my race-track bikes..
