Does it feel much heavier than say something like the FE?
And what do they really weigh, if you know?

Able,
It feels heavier for sure. Even just moving it around the garage. The seat height is higher too which is interesting given how small the bike is. I haven't had enough seat time to really get a good sense of turn in, but mid corner stability is definitely more confidence inspiring. It feels incredibly planted. More so than the V4 and FE.

The engine is strong, but hopping back on the v4 it's no contest. The v4 pulls much stronger throughout the rev range and especially up top. The rsv4 is geared really tall. 1st gear is a very usable gear.

So to sum it up here's what I've noticed after 200 miles....

Positives
- mid corner stability
- sound (OMG!!! this sounds amazing, especially with the Akra slip on)
- transmission - much smoother than the v4. Also don't need to close the throttle to downshift
- price - out the door for half of the price of the Speciale

Negatives
- weight
- power
- looks? I guess this is subjective. I really like the design, but the Speciale is growing on me. I do like the livery more than the standard all red ducati.

If i could only have one, I'd go with the Speciale, but factoring in price the rsv4 RF is an incredibly compelling proposition. It really is as good as all the reviews claim.

That Supermono is such an amazing looking bike. It would be a great one to have, but so much $$ for a motorcycle!

Thanks man. Not as impressive as some on this forum, but it's been fun building the stable.

Had several of the bikes out for annual oil and fluid maintenance this past weekend. Most of them have seen less than 500 miles in the past 12 months, which is pathetic I know, but I'm pretty religious about changing the fluids annually. I also try and ride each of them once a month which candidly is getting harder to do.

Found a great ducati mechanic who comes to the house which has been very convenient.

Keep your eyes on this post if you're interested in any of these bikes since I'll be changing up the stable when the V4R arrives. I always try and price these right to give forum members a good deal and to move them quickly. They are all well loved and cared for too!

Kevin
