Hence why I'm glad my bike never came with them, or had em installed when they offered to!! They said it was to protect riders from the heat. I still say one never experienced heat unless they've ridden the 1098s series when the pipes were still up under the tail end !! ��

The heat is better at certain speeds and worse in others. To me it was a wash and I left them off.
