Race plastics - need recommendation

Need recommendations for race plastics. Currently looking at BikesPlast's fairings from Houston Superbikes. Thanks all!

Buy Armorbodies from Woodcraft. That's all you should need. They're the best and if you try and yardsale the bike, they're repairable...don't get the abs plastic stuff, it's a waste

I got a set from Motoxpricambri for my RSV4. Fit is pretty good a little wrestling with the tail but overall good. Paint and decals are pretty good, a step down from elite paint, not perfect but it's a track bike. Good price unpainted and painted kits.

I Ride: All of them
I just ordered the Motoxpricambi with elite paint job in the anniversario livery. I'll post up pics when I get them. One reason I went that route was that they come with fluid holding belly pan (mandatory for racing) and they require no special brackets other than the IMU mount.

Motoxpricambi are thin. All mounting points are reinforced to make up for it. Not a fan, I've installed 3 sets on friends bikes already (I did one this week).. friend payed more for the nice paint job and it was sub par up close. They sent him a 1299 headlight fairing for his 1199 set he ordered + it was cracked from shipping) they told him to kick rocks.

Installing a Motoxpricambi track kit right now on my 1299. Overall it's a decent kit (i opted for the elite painting), but it's not to the level of fit/finish as the stock kit.

It looks like it is just fiberglass with a sticker wrap and then cleared over. It doesn't have all the tabs like the stock stuff, so fit is a bit janky, but not overly terrible. The front clip proved quite challenging to get installed right with the provided air intake. I opted for the IMU mount on the stock fairing stay.. definitely should have just got the MWR or Motoholders setup instead. A fair amount of fabrication was required to get the air ducts to fit and not be jammed into the IMU.. (got to be careful as the IMU can be finicky if it is not fully isolated with rubber mounts on everything).

Now, granted it is the track kit which is sans headlight/tail light assembly, so take it for what it is. I got the tail with the stock seat config. It bolted up just fine and was the easiest to install. The ducts in the tail were just open and looked kinda "meh", so I snagged some small, black epoxied mesh screen and fab'd em up behind the ducts and epoxied them in place. Looks waaaay better.

If I didn't have my head up my ass I would have gotten an aftermarket fairing stay and saved myself alot of trouble f'ing around with the stock shit. I spaced it and then the fairings took like 45days to arrive, which didn't leave me any time to source the fairing stay before heading to the track next weekend.. /sigh

The fairings are pretty thin, but reinforced at stress points. I'd pay a little more to get some more resilient fairings next time around. They seem a tad on the fragile side..

Was dead set on MotoXP- after MotoX's post, I'm having some reservations. I would much rather go with ease of installation, quality, and product support than looks (i.e. white bodywork with red tank).

What do you guys think of the DP set versus Woodcraft/AB?

I've seen a Carbonin set of race plastics on a 1299 locally and they looked like a good setup. Don't hear about them much. Hustle Hard Racing uses them on all their racebikes. Their R1 that I checked out more thoroughly looked like a great kit. The 1299 I didn't get as much time to crawl around and see how beefy it was. But assuming it was made to the same standards as the one on the R1, I would definitely give them a go. They also sell them, probably some pics on their FB of a 1299, but I'm too lazy to search.

Edit: Now that I look at their FB page, I didn't realize how many of our local guys are running their bodywork. It's legit stuff.
Thanks from Twistedracer
